For Everyone

I started with Jamie as an adult student, with  little experience, but great interest. Jamie tailored our lessons to my interest in watercolor and to do individual projects. Great grounding  in techniques through the individual projects that I wanted to pursue.  Her studio is a great place to explore and meet people. Watching Jamie  as she works with kids and high school students, mentoring them through  their education, is inspiring Her ability to paint portraits, people  and favorite pets, is amazing. One of my most inspiring experiences was watching Jamie, in front of birthday party of kids and parents,  painting a wonderful portrait of the "birthday boy" live in 20 minutes.  The expression on his face when he saw the wonderful portrait will stay with me in my memory! Agree, Jamie is very talented!

A Wonderful Studio :)

Jamie is absolutely wonderful! I have been  getting lessons from Jamie for a few months now and I have learned more  from her in these past few months then I have learned in all of my  schooling. She is teaching me everything from realistic painting to how  to be a good teacher and how to start my own business. The studio is  beautiful and the way Jamie teaches art is easy to learn and understand. Coming to the studio was the best choice I have ever made when it comes to my future. Thank you Jamie!

The BEST Studio

Jamie has created a wonderful environment for all to draw, paint, create, gather, mingle, and even try your hand at art. Her studio has a great feel with a large window and good light. I have  always enjoyed myself there, with a charcoal pencil in hand or sitting perfectly still as a model. Jamie is one talented lady.

Flexible Hours at The Martinsville Studio

Jamie has given a complamentary class to my son and he was very motivated by Jamie's expertise in the field. Jamie is  very flexible in accomodating the clases based on each individual’s schedule.  I highly recommend The Martinsville Studio to have a great foundation of art classes or even enhancing the existing skills in the field.

Open studio

i attended an open studio at the Martinsville Studio. it was a very good experience, Jamie and all the artists were friendly and comfortable to be with. She had a model and a very professional set up. It was great.

Art lessons at The Martinsville Studio

My daughter has been having art lessons from Jamie since November 2008. Jamie has motivated my teenager and has been  greatly instrumental in my daughter's love for art and sketching. Jamie  is very patient and is extremely skilled at reaching out to her students and getting the best out of them. My daughter absolutely loves the  lessons from Jamie and spends a great part of her saturday mornings at  the studio for her art lessons.

Art Essentials in a Nuturing Environment

I cannot say enough wonderful things about  Jamie Lindholm and the Martinsville Studio. What a find!! My daughter  absolutely loves her art clases with Jamie and looks forward to learning the skills necessary to follow her dream to be a fashion designer.  Jamie teaches the basic fundamentals of drawing, while tailoring  specific skills needed for each individual student. My daughter is very proud of her accomplishments thus far, and anticipates a long,  productive relationship with such a talented, thoughtful teacher. Wonderful place to learn

My son is a student of Jamie Lindholms at the Martinsville Studio. He loves going to class each week. She is a  wonderful teacher and is extremely patient with him. Jamie gives him  much confidence and I'm so pleased with the progress he has made.  Jamie's schedule is very flexible and accommodating. I could not have  asked for a better art teacher for him. I would highly recommend Jamie  to anyone who wants to learn to become an artist or who would like to  continue with their studies.

Learn Fundamental Skills and Beyond

My daughter absolutely loves her art classes  with Jamie Lindholm! Make no mistake about it ~ these are not kiddie  art classes. Jamie teaches her students the essential elements  necessary to develop natural artistic ability. My daughter's  artistic-self-esteem has increased dramatically since taking this class. She is excited and proud about the work she is creating. Prior to  attending classes at The Martinsville Studio, my daughter attended other art classes. Those classes were too large and they were not based on  the fundamental skills of drawing. I highly recommend The Martinsville  Studio and Jamie Lindholm.

Great place to learn

My daughter is a student of Jamie Lindholm and  she absolutely loves her classes. First of all, Jamie is a phenomenally talented artist, who has a unique ability to be able to teach as well.  Jamie is starting with the very basics of drawing, allowing my daughter to gain confidence and she progresses. She really looks forward to her time with Jamie and we will continue her lessons in the fall, where she will continue drawing and move on to painting.Jamie is also very  flexible and accommodating with scheduling. Her studio is neat and  clean, and located near various food options in case you get hungry!
